my keyhole cichlids and Brazilian Eartheater, do nothing but chase each other, i relize it might be a pecking order, but the odd thing is if its a pecking order it's been rezersed.

Orignally my keyhole whold chase my Brazilian Eartheater, now its the other way with my Brazilian Eartheater being the more dominate fish.

While i was out, my dad said he saw the two fish attack each other.

Is there any way i can get rid of the aggresion in my tank?

What size tank do you have? Is there anything else in the tank? More info!! I also suggest posting this in the cichlid forum.

I agree more info would be helpful. You have a small fish(4") and a larger fish(10")[adult sizes]. If they are still arround the same size(that's another thing that might help us), you will have even more problems when the key reaches it's max and the BEA starts getting a bit larger. Not part of your post but the BEA needs slightly acidic water, where the key needs a more neautral ph. I'd like to see that answer to aquarium size. Dither fish would help, as would caves, plants, or otherwise hiding places.

the tank is 30 gal and they are both under 6 inches each.

I orginally had the Keyhole first and it whould hide behind plants and the cave i added, i then added the BEA afterwards and saw the Keyhole come out of hiding, frankly i thought the BEA made it less shy and had the impression the two where "pals"

There both realitvely the same size, well the BEA is a bit bigger by an inch,

I thought they are both compatable since they where in the same tank at the shop.
