Tank Upgrade help?

I'm planning to upgrade my 10g tank to 20g. Right now I have 6 serpae tetras and 4 kuhli loaches in the 10g. When I move them to the 20g I'd like to add 2 kuhlis and 1 red tail shark. Here's the question: I heard that red tail sharks are somewhat aggressive, but so are the serpaes, will they do well together? And will the shark eat the kuhlis when it reaches full size?

You should be ok for the most part. I cant say it enough, but compatibility with fish has alot to do with how secure they feel. If you have a bare bottem tank without any gravel, driftwood, or live plants (or fake) your fish will feel alot less secure and safe resulting in stress and alot of bickering between species. Your combination SHOULD work out if you provide plenty of decor for everyone to hide out in. Though there is a fish out there to make a fool out of anyone that is trying to make a "fact" out of anything.
 
Thanks for a quick response, I just thought that I really should've specified that I have a planted tank with driftwood and lots of hiding places. Also can I add 6 lemon tetras to all the fish specified earlier, without overcrowding too much and without agression problems?
 
You can add the lemons but I would not get the shark since this type(red tail) is semi-aggressive and it really needs at least 50gallons. Most of the other sharks require at least 70gallons so sharks aren't the best idea unless you have a bigger tank for when he is full grown. They only get to 4 or 5 inches I think, but they still need 50gals. Good luck!:-)

It's a shame I really like them :( (especially when they are at 1" :) ), the problem is that I have a 55g, but I don't want anything aggressive in it since there are mostly peaceful and small fish in there (red phantoms, brilliant and harlequin rasboras, emperor tetras, molly and platys, glo-light tetras, otocinclus, but most importantly shrimp which can get eaten) and besides they are not even in decent sized ( at least 6 ) schools, so it is already full to capacity ( I also have six long fin danios in my quarantine tank, ready to add to the 55g).
