After small green terror gets to medium size bye bye to the mollys or any other small fish. as the terror getts bigger the other cichlids will be in trouble two. The green terror will need a bigger tank also. at least a 60g by itself at min. The lager the tank the better for large old World cichlids.
I have never heard of a "inbreadmolly/guppy whatevers", must be a new genus/species? I am hoping these fish are in that tank temporary. The GT and the jewels are very different cichlids and will have problems down the road if they don't already, and the molly will not be happy with either of them.
Is this the molly that had fry that you thought were hybrid(note hybred not imbred) with the guppy? If so I would lean more towards them being molly fry(molly was already prego and can have more than one batch after mating).
As for your question the odds are low for the GT, lower for the molly, and lowest from the fry(all assuming the jewels are large/full grown). Especially with the jewels, as I have found them (IME)to "pack" hunt for lack of a better term. One will chase it into a corner where the other will be hiding, waiting for a quick snack.
I think the green terror is the coolest fish in there. So far I haven't seen any nasty behavior but it has only been a day. Maybe I should take the Jewels back. i'd hate for them to pick such an unfair fight on my tank favorite. I got the terror because I read about how they are nosy and follow the action in the room and they look like a cool fish to grow. I fed them this morning, and the terror chomped on the food with quite a vengeance. It moves around the tank like a porsche. The thing stops on a dime. The tank said 8-10" in length and I think 6-8 for the jewels. I'm hoping they'll learn to respect eachother, but maybe not. I plan on getting a larger tank by the holidays. Hopefully WWIV won't break out in there until then. Last time I take a fish store person's advice for compatibility.
The molly and the whatevers are going to be removed from the tank today. I'll either give them to my fiance's mom, or put them back in the 10 gallon.
no... I believe that's pretty much going on now. Anyways it's only been 2 days but so far no signs of aggressiveness with the cichilids. I think the jewel cichilds are a happy pair. I don't know how to differentiate sex, but one has green fins and the other somewhat purple. The little green terror seems to be minding it's own for the time being. My pleco, or whatever the heck it is seems unphased by them as well. It seems happy in the new tank and has been tearing up cucumber. The dorsal and tail fins are huge on this guy and the brown spotted pattern definately makes it a looker.
