hi everyone sorry just another quick question. My 2 goldfish are small, and quite young, so i don't think this problem is down to mating. They are perfectly docile and friendly to each other except AFTER they have been fed?!They don't actually fight over food they just start to ram each other and try and jump on the other one's back it seems after they have finished feeding. They haven't injured each other and they go back to normal after about 5 mins!!Any ideas anyone??Thanks!!

I had tiger barbs that used to do that during their feedings. Maybe their just argueing about who's the dominate one and who gets to eat first and who gets the most. Thats what I was told by someone, but I can't garantee that's what is going on.

Maybe it is that they are fighting over dominance in the tank I don't no why they do it when theres plenty of room in the tank for them. My Pumpkinseed fish do it all the time I just leave them be as long as their not trying to kill each other.

My goldfish do that all the time! The fantail (Munch) is the larger, and the ryukin (Fin) is the smaller ... as Munch is going through the gravel on the bottom searching for leftovers, Fin crowds up underneath and beside him, as if he's afraid he'll miss a crumb! Eventually Munch chases him around in circles for a few minutes, and then he gives up momentarily.
I was concerned at first, but that seems to be just how these guys roll :thm:

Thats a nice looking beta. What kind of fish do have that argue about their food? The fish in my tank are three that I got from the lake near my house.
