I have 3 panda cories 2 bronze and 1 bronze longfin in a tank with tetras and barbs. I have been trying to get either species to breed by following the advice i read (weekly 50% water changes with lowered temp). Ive been doing this for a few weeks and they still arent showing any signs of breeding. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

I think that the bronze longfin is male while the regular bronzes are female. I cant tell the difference with the pandas.

i would suggest making a cory-only tank if you really want babies...the tetras will probably eat the eggs

good luck

A vaired diet will help. My cory female didn't start laying eggs until after I had her for at least 1 year if not more. Java moss is also essential for the babies to survive after they hatch in a community tank. And lots of plants will also help. Survival rate is pretty low though.
