That is why I added my rainbows before I bought my JD's. It makes them feel the area is safe to come out. The same principal works for excessive aggresiveness also.
There is a thin line between dither fish and target fish.:)

i bought them so quick i int even catch the name.they have a long like bodywith red tail fins an a streak of black in the middle of those tail fins there body is more of a sliver color and they constanly nip at each other
buenos aires tetras maybe.

tiger barbs are still not fast enough for a JD. i would try working with some medium-large sized silver dollars instead.
giant danios. its the only thing besides plecos that my green terror (7"+) wont kill.

yea giant danios work great with big cichlids but silver dopllars work too, pacus are good but they grow too big, dont get pacus. dont make the same mistake i made.

I have Giant Danios and Rainbows in with my JD's. They are quick enough to get away. If something happens to any of these I'm going with Silver Dollars. I would suggest an of these.
