1-2 isn't enough. Discus do much better in groups. With a tank that size, you could do 8 adult fish with probably weekly or better two water changes per week of 50% or better. If you were up to doing daily changes of 50-80% you could go with 14 adult fish.
I'm assuming this will be your first go around with discus, because of that I would really reccomend doing a bare bottom tank, and getting fish that are adult, 5" or larger. My reasoning there is because they are not as touchy, they are more forgiving, and just all around hardier. Plus you don't have to worry about growing them out, just learning how to care for them.
Where are you located? This would make a big difference in where I would reccomend going for fish. If your in the USA, I do sell discus, I have a link in my signature, just e-mail me or PM me with your e-mail address and I can get a pricelist off to you. Any questions you have about them I will be more than happy to anwser and help you out.
Live Aquaria's fish are horrible and extremely overpriced, avoid them completely. Discus aren't like other fish, you can't just get good quality fish anywhere.
I'm one of the few people here who is involved deeply in the Discus hobby, I know a lot of people who sell fish, and I know who to avoid.
