Hello,

I am considering the addition of a dozen red cherry shrimp to my 125 Gallon tank. The idea is that they're cool-looking and will help eating the algea.
However, I have 1 discus and 3 zebra loaches in the tank, amongst others. Will the shrimp end up being a rather expensive meal for my discus?

Thanks!

Tank:
Freshwater 125 gallon, medium-heavily planted, 82 degress F, soft water
~ 20 cardianals
~ 4 neon tetras (can't get them out, must be quite hot!)
~ 5 SAEs
~ 3 zebra loaches
~ 1 discus

I think your loaches will eat them before the discus do.

First, you need more discus, but yes the discus will eat the shrimp. FW shrimp are one of their main food sources in the wild.
