i saw the female eating her eggs last night, so instead of removing her i grab the piece of rock and put it in in one of those plastice breeding canister.


will this be ok? or does the parant have to be with the eggs? the container is in the tank but they can't get to the eggs.

i might of over reacted. i notice that there is lots of eggs with fungus, so maybe she was cleaning up the bad eggs? there is a hand full of good ones.

You could pick off the bad ones with a toothpick....check them a few times a day. No, the eggs don't have to be with the parents. I raised a batch by removing the rock that they were layed on and just using a toothpick to pick off any white colored ones.
