hello, just entering the fish keeping hobby and have already come a cropper.

i have managed to get ich in my tank and have so far been treating it with white spot control from king british.

i have just carried out a liquid test on the water in my tank and have found that the levels have rocketed since 3 days ago. is this a normal occurence when using this treatment. the active ingreadiant is malcholite green. i think that is how it is spelt.

anyhow any advice or info you can give would be a great help. many thanks all

Is your tank cycled? If not, then that is why your numbers sky rocket and you should be doing something about them...very frequent water changes.

there is a stickey at the top of the forum on cycling if you need more info.

IF you have cycled, you should post specific test results and water conditions, that may help others. I have no experience with ich besides knowing to say raise the temp to mid 80's and put a little salt in the water.
