i think it isnt working propaly................at the bottom of it a white thing is building up inside it??? its new so surely it shouldnt be doing that its like when a bulb goes blackish when its dying out hope im making sence here lol
take it no one has ne ideas about my heater then? pmsl

Well its not easy to figure out what exactly you are describing. Could you take a picture of it and post it ?
Is the heater still working properly (keeping the tank at stable temperature) ?
A shot in the dark
1) Condensation/ moisture in the heater
2) Accumulation of something else "inside" (minerals etc ???)
Either way... it might be a good idea to replace it....

my opinion would be to return it for a new one. The heater is the scariest thing in the tank to go. If it blows inside the tank, you risk electrocution for yolurself plus the fish. If in doubt, take it out.
i will try and take a pic and post it here thanks guys........were not sure but think the tempture keeps changing either that or the themotator thingy is broke??? :(
