I have had my blue lobster now for about three weeks. Just yesterday he molted for the first time. I was just wondering if anyone had some tips as far as any special precautions that need to be taken right after a blue lobster has just molted.

He should be fine so long as there are no other lobsters in the tank with him or fish that can get at him.

Just make sure he has an adequate hiding spot until his new shell hardens.

Mine moulted twice in 1 month and has a "burrow" he dug under the bogwood. I try not to disturb it too much.

Molting means he sheds his outer shell because he has overgrown it. Snakes do it (and a lot of other animals, too), and you've probably seen and heard of it. One they're done, it looks like there is a ghost of them that doesn't move.

Just keep him safe from harm because he's vunerable.

Vulnerable AND naked.................I'd hate to be a lobster caught in a tank without my clothes..........what would all the fish say?

Yeah, it's late. I'm tired.

Make sure he has a good hiding spot and he'll be fine.
