MISSISSIPPI
20 Gal. long
my stocking ideas:

8 red eye tetra

2 dwarf gourami

1 pictus cat (personal favorite :D )

4 cory cats

maybe a botia loach

this could be kinda heavy on bottom dwellers i think

any comments or suggestions are appreciated

p.s. this would be in total/ not added to what i already have
also, the iridescent shark will be going soon.

ummm. botias get rather big as do pictus cats. the pictus cats arent good with smaller fish.2 dwarf gouramis,8 red tetras and 4 cories would be ok. perhaps ading a bn pleco or ottos to control algea?

Sorry I would say out with the pictus, that fish will get a bit to large for your tank. I would stick to adding more cories to your tank.

9 red eye tetra

2 dwarf gourami

6 cory cats

and for algae control add some Amano shrimp. They are smaller than most fish and do a pretty good job and would be fine in a setup like this, especially if it was a plant tank.

new idea

8 red eye tetra

6 tiger barbs

4-6 corys

2 gouramis

small pleco

too crowded?

im not sure about mixing barbs with gouramis-im just kinda throwing suggestions

Most plecos will out grow a 20 gallon easily. The ones that are wanted for smaller tanks are very pricey. And plus they are not very good algae eaters, some require drift wood to eat and they just way to big for most tanks.

tiger barbs will be a bit nippy active for your selection . a bn pleco wont get too big for a 20g but they do like some driftwood to chew on and eat lots of vegetables. once the algea is gone you would need to feed them a lot. plecos are big poopers too. just a notice. clown pleco are small but a bit frgile and eat plants.if i were you id get some shrimp and a algea scraper for the glass. go for the bigger shrimp like wood or mno shrimp . dg's like to snack on small shrimp

I've had two male gouramis that never "fought to the death". the most fighting i have seen them do is flare at each other. They have, however, nipped my other fish- platies, mollies, guppies. Tetras seem to be fine with them though.
