Hi all. I've been lurking/sponging here for the last week or so and have really enjoyed the reading. I was in the hobby heavily about 10 years ago when I still lived with the 'rents. I sold off all my stock and tanks when I got my own place and had to start paying for water and electricity. 
Recently, I've gotten the bug again and I have just aquired a 35-40g hex tank. I had one identical to this back then and it was by far my favorite. Rambling aside, I am wanting to heavily plant this one. Is there anything, outside of a MH pendant, that will be able to effectively penetrate such a deep water column? If a MH pendant is necessary, what size/strength would be necessary. One last question and I'll leave you alone. If a MH pendant were to be employed, how much heat do the produce and how much electricity do they consume? I guess that's two questions... Sorry.
