How do you sex rams? How big do they have to be?

Hi skittyfish cool pics.
The most reliable way to sex rams is to wait until they come into breeding condition when the female will get a loverly red or pink belly flush, , the female will also look generally more rounded, the male will also look more showy with longer fins. I have a pair of blue Rams and they look magnificent - like something from mardi gras!!
