Hey all,
I have a simple question, I wanted to see who had experience with paraside gourami.
What I wanted to know what are they like? Are they fun or boring? Their personality, are they timid, active, stuff like that. I've looked online and it just gave me the facts of temp, ph, size stuff like that but not personality wise.
Thanks guys!

I haven't had this grourami specificly but all of the other ones I have had swim around a lot. I kept an opaline one with my 2 oscars for a while. He was a fighter, lol. I like 'em for swimming fish. However I usually buy bottom dwellers so I need something to swim around.

Do you mean a paradise fish?

If yes, they have a personality very similiar to an oscar. They are very active, but can be belligerent towards other fish. I personally loved mine, she was extremely smart and had loads of personality.

Yeah... its paraside fish... I called it paraside gourami because it seemed similar to gourami and it breathes air. Do they color up real well?
I've actually went ahead and got paraside fish for my 29g for an experiment and I'll see how it works out. So far, it have been swimming tons! It espically (sp??) likes to swim back and forth at the front of tank sometimes in the current! Its one energentic fish of the whole tank.
Thanks for the feedback so far!

I have a Paradise and I LOVE HIM!!! Depending on each fish, they can be a lil aggresive towards other fish. Mine was like this when i first put him in the tank, but now a couple months later, he is just fine. They are very smart fish with great personalities. Every time i go up to the glass, he goes right to me. Then i can drag my finger along the glass and he follows. Mine usually stays near the top as do most gouramis. They get really nice coloration. You will love this fish!!!
