How long is this stuff suppose to stay for??... I've been battling it for... well, I dunno.. 2months now.. if not more... and it just seems like everytime I clean the tank it just gets worse... ughh....

here's some pictures, it's everywhere and just looks ugly...

That looks just like what I've gotten recently. And it was only on the tops of the top leaves of my one live plant, but just the other day I found a small spot on my glass. I would be vary interested to see what anybody has to suggest as well.

I still don't really get it.... I've had it for about... 8-10weeks now, I've been doing water changes, feeding less... and the light is on for only about... 8-10hrs a day

The brown powerdy stuff is probably diatoms, which I belive grow in low light conditions. I have the same problem in my tank. I heard that old light bulbs gradualy lose their power and therefore weakens the amount of light coming in. I keep my light on at really odd hours (turn on whenever I wake up, anywhere from 7 am to noon, turn off when I go to bed, anywhere from 10 pm to 1 am), so I think the 5 year old bulb is the culprit here.

well... my light bulb is new, because I only bought the tank...5-6months ago...
