SO I WAS IN MY ROOM AND IN THE CORNER OF MY EYE I SEE KIND OF LIKE A THRASHING GOIN ON IN THE TANK SO I TAKE A LOOK AND ONE OF THE ANGELS HAVE A RUMMY NOSE TETRA HANGING HALF WAY OUT HIS MOUTH  AND HES SHAKING HIS HEAD BACK AND FORTH. THE RUMMY WAS A GOOD SIZE AND OBVIOSLY TO BIG TO FIT ALL THE WAY IN SO HE SPIT HIM OUT. THE RUMMY WAS ALL DISCOMBOBULATED AND THE OTHER ANGEL WENT OVER AND TOOK A JAB AT HIM AND TOOK OUT HIS EYEBALL!  AFTER THAT HE SOME HOW GOT AWAY BEHIND PLANTS AND I COULDNT FIND HIM. LATER THAT NITE I FOUND HIM SUCKED UP AGAINST THE INTAKE NEEDLESS TO SAY DEAD :thud: I KNEW I WAS RUNNING THE RISK OF IT HAPPENING BUT THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT. PRETTY CRAZY. I REPLACED HIM WITH A NEW RUMMY AND SO FAR HES DOING GOOD...

Small fish with angels is a constant risk. I won't encourage anyone to replace a loss--once the angel has learned the behavior, it's highly likely to be repeated.
PS...Yelling (using all caps) on the forum isn't needed. Maybe this is just your style, but it's one that will not promote a positive response from other forum members.

I have to agree with Orion Girl on this, your fish will slowly disappear in your tank after awhile. I had a school of Zebra danios that slowly disappeared cause my Angels were stalking them. Depending on your size of tank, you may need to go with larger tetras, such as black skirt.

i've already replaced him so we'll see what happens, if it happens again pretty quick then maybe i'll go with a bigger fish.

Yeah, I wouldn't take the chance again. Poor fish, how many rummys do you have now?

i replaced the one that died so now i have 2 again. maybe if i got more, they can be more of a school and that would prevent it from happening again?

You could just wait, those two are most likely gonna be goners as soon as the angels get hungry. Feeding them more might prevent this, but if I were you I would take both rummys to the store and get some bigger tetras, a school of them.

29g TALL FW
ECLIPSE FILTRATION SYSTEM
LOTS OF FAKE PLANTS/3 PIECES OF DRIFTWOOD
1 ZEBRA VEIL ANGEL
1 MARBLE VEIL ANGEL
2 RUMMY NOSE TETRAS
1 BLUE RAM
1 KUHLI LOACH
2 OTOS.
Looking at your tank now, I would actually forego any more Rummy Nose, This tank is going to get pretty crowded fast cause of the growth rate of the angels. I do not keep these guys in anything less than a 40 gallon breeder.

Im pretty sure this isn't what you're looking for but you could add a few more kuhlis, since your tank is pretty much full and you would see them alot more often. As for top dwelling bigger schoolers I can't think of any right now.[QUOTE=randalizm]
