Hello all, I have several issues with my tank that are driving me insane! I am not quite a newbie to marine, rather a newbie to reef. I have kept fish for over 10 years, but never anything other than just fish. Since I purchased new lighting for my tank (384 watt PC) I have been getting bubbles all over everything.....little bubbles on the live rock, substrate and even the back glass. Also I have an out break of green/hair algae... Any advice would be absolutely wonderful.

75 g, all levels read perfect, except phos. is a teeny bit high, est. 175 lbs LR, 4" live sand bed, star polyp, button polyp, some misc., cherub angel, 2 molly miller blennies, royal dottyback, 2 cleaner shrimp, 24 or so blue leg hermitts

Please help me, thank you, Jill

Does the algae have bubbles in/on it? Are you using a protein skimmer and if so what model and how old is it?

The bubbles are on the algae as well as everywhere else, I have a prism pro skimmer, got it for x-mas. Any ideas???
Thank you

Is the algae "snotty" looking? If so, it sounds like you have dinoflagelates. This algae consumes oxygen and produces bubbles. If this isn't what you have, try turning the flow down on your skimmer. That could also be causing tiny bubbles.

not so much snotty, but my skimmer is adjusted and does not give off any bubbles in the output, but the snotty that gives off bubbles must be what i have....do turbo grazer snail eat any algae, i dont have any exp w/them..
