The local lfs has a catfish similar to this Bagarius yarrelli in the link below, except the color is more uniform brown with a thin light stripe that follows the lateral line. The barbels (thick fleshy) and body shape are very similar. I would assume it to be another species of Bagarius except I'm told it was collected in Peru. Anyone know of a Bagarius-like cat in swift peruvian streams? He also said that the adults have a distinct orange color.
