I have a 30 gallon tank.

The community is

2 tiger barbs
1 bala
2 neon tetra
1 tetra[big fin] forgot what its called
2 white clouds

everything was all good, i noticed the barb's were very playful and playing with each other. everybody was getting along well, but the barbs were really causing chaos in a playful manner, well i found one of my neons in the filter dead. and then about an hour later one of the barbs was in the filter dead. at this point i was freaking out. i noticed the whole day my bala was swimming by itself and the barbs were pestering it. i had seen enough i took it upon myself to return the remaining barb.

temp is good ph is good wth

PH really means nothing when it comes to the health/quality of your tank and water.

Bala sharks get huge, I'd suggest replacing it with a schools of tetras or something like that.

All those fish are schooling fish and need to be in groups of 6 or more for each one. Tiger barbs are pretty nippy and do pick on other fish. However, their aggression is lessen when they are in a proper school.

Bala sharks will be too big for that tank.

Glad you took them back!

I would pretty much start over. How are your fish getting into your filter? You should obviously block it off somehow. Are you cycling? If so take everything back! Really I would start over, why do you have two of lots of schooling fish? You need to reasearch buddy! Take everything back and start with a few fish to cycle or even better do a fishless cycle. Good luck and welcome and research!!

hmm

unless I am misreading, he still has the bala, he took the barb back. I would take the bala back and get about 6 barbs if the tank is cycled and such.

A Bala Shark can get up to 14-inches. Minimum suggested tank size....probably 75 gallons.
