My Dad's coworker's tank broke and he gave me these aquatic plants. I am trying to find out what kind of plants they are so I can lookup how to take care of them.

Right now I have the plants in a 55g with a homemade c02 setup (which I set up after I put the plants in) and 2 4' flos that are set to 12/12. I do not have them planted in my gravel yet, they are just resting on the bottom of my tank.

Here is some pics of the plants, what are they?

how do I fix that? they were in the trunk of car for 3 days prior to me receiving them.

You can tie the plants to rock or wood. I usually use rubber bands because its quick and easy. After a few weeks the plant should attach itself. You can also bury the roots in the substrate - only the roots and not the rhizome, which is the long thick horizontal stem.

Were the leaves yellow when you received the plants? I wouldn't expect three days in darkness to have such an effect on anubias. Do you have other plants? What lighting do you have and do you add any ferts?

Yes the leaves were yellow when I got them, they might have gotten a little worse though I dont really remember.

The only other plants I have in the tank is java moss. I have two 4 foot flourescent bulbs (plant & aquarium from wal-mart). Should I only use 1 seeing how these are low light plants?

No I dont use any ferts.

Keep using both lights, that will give you 1.45wpg which is ok for growing anubias. You're still on the low light range and if you was to only use one of the lights, it's not going to be enough.

Since you have a low light tank with just some java moss and anubias I would hold off adding any ferts for now. Watch how the plants react to your tank water and see if they color up a bit.

would it be a problem if I didnt plant the plants at all?

Looks like its going to be tricky if I try to plant them.

Just the roots in the substrate is fine. You can trim the roots down a bit if they are really long.

I'm not sure if you can just lay them on the substrate, never tried it. The roots will probably make their way to the substrate but I'm just not sure.
