Moved my fish over the weekend successfully. What a chore. As you might know I moved from a 60 gallon tank at my old house to 110 gallon at my new house. I was waiting on my stand and canopy. Moved fish and water and rocks in 5 gallon buckets. Used the nylon technique for the cc since I have a carib sand bed, hopefully the bacteria will migrate over. So far this morning my fish seem happy and ok. I have maroon clown, lionfish and tang and snowflake eel - what a pain to catch and big, hardly see his whole body when feeding him, man he is about foot long.
Anyways, I have some questions
I have 2 maxijet mp 900s on each end pointing toward the front, do you think that is enough flow in tank?? its a 60" long tank. I have a sump with overflow also, but I wanted to know if the intank flow is good?
Also I have 2 175watt MH and 2 60watt actinic PCs for lighting. I only have a chunk of live rock in there now. I plan on getting more as budget alows, but I was thinking of getting into some corals and recommendations for the lighting and that are hardy?
Also I would like to add some more fish possibly. Any recommendations??? I have maroon clown(2"), Lionfish(4"), Scopas Tang(4") and foot long eel. I like angels and other grazers. So far the fish I have are peaceful, nobody bothers one and other, lion is sometime territorial when the tang swims by. They all eat out of my hand.
Thanks for the help. I will post pics of the new tank and stand when I get everything up and running again and I put the top back on.
