My 2 week new angelfish, which has been eating well after a couple of days of acclimatization, suddenly stopped eating for 2 days now and hiding away. It ingores frozen food (shrimps, daphnie) as weel as flakes while other fast community fish (i.e tetras, puffers) are feeding around him. I isolated him in quarantine tank until he stars eating again. I have 60 gal, pH 7.5, everything seems normal, but my pearl gourami suddenly died yesterday. I worry about some disease which I can not identify.
Will appreciate any advise about eating disorder in angelfish.
Thanks.

i see a few potential problem. angels are cichlids and as such, when able will eat your tetras. puffers are not community fish ... they're very nippy and will eventually shred the fins of your angel if not descale it bit by bit as well. a fish that's not eating may feel too stressed to come out in the open to grab food. is the puffer attacking your angel? what other fish are in this tank and how many in total? additionally, a fish that's not eating may have a disease but it's impossible to tell based on your description. how about water quality? what are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels? how long has the tank been running?
