Its pretty difficult to the untrained eye.
Males will be slightly larger with more pronounced black on thier fins. Sometimes they will have a dark face.
Females are more delicate looking and not as dark and defined.
Although, I've seen females that look like males and vice-versa. Sub-dominant males often look like females.
The surest way to sex them is to watch them mate or vent them.
