Jelly Bean Parots are (to my knowledge) painted fish. That means they have been injected with dye to color them. The color will fade in a couple weeks and you'll be left with a sick blood parrot with a shortened life expectancy.

True jelly bean parrots are a hybrid between a convict male and a blood parrot female. Most of the time they are dyed ( a horrible practice that stripes there slime coat off then they are dyed then the slime coat is helped to regrow, Please do not buy dyed fish of any kind). A blood parrot is a hybrid also that is dyed a lot. They should be a nice orange or a faded pink color with maybe some black markings. A lot of LFS will interchange the names of this fish. The blood parrots will get larger then the jelly beans.
