Hi everyone, yesterday I was doing a 30% change in my fry tank with tetras and Mollies. As i took the water filter out I found a glob of clear sticky jelly like stuff on the back of the filter, any ideas!

snail egg sacs would be my guess. Do you have live plants in the tank?

Yes the entire tank has plants, a lot of hidding spots!
The other is this there are a bunch of HORSESHOE shaped theings on the glass with little tiny white dots! They are like little CHIPS of glass!

There are many snails in the tank too!

You've just confirmed my suspicion(sp?), David snail eggs are the culprits

i describe them as crunchy translucent boogers. If you have snails, you'll soon be taken over. muahahahaha!

if you want to control the snails, cut back on the feedings and make sure your water is up to par.
