Using a used clay pot

I went downstairs before and saw that there were a few small clay pots that were used a few years ago. If I clean one, iI mean immaculately clean it and let it soak and all, can I put it in my tank?

But why? They're the cheapest pots you can buy. Get new.

Cause I don't want to keep bugging my parents to take me to all these different places, I feel bad. And, with the snow, who knows when I will actually be able to go anywhere.

Bad idea, IMHO. Mineral buildup, possible insecticides, unknown fertilizers, unknown molds - no thank you, better to do without than to risk your fish.

Use new or nothing.
