Last month I went on my regular trip around all the local fish stores, no plans of buying anything but generally checking out what is new. Well, I saw some beatup Severum fry in one of the stores and just could not resist, I had to save at least one little guy.
Here is a picture of the fish the day I got him:

And here he is a month later:

The updated picture was taken about a week ago, since then he has already started developing more color around his facial area.

Don't suppose you have many red eyes in your 55 cichlid tank?

only the 4" green sevrum, and the 8" blood parrot wich is a crossbreed that uses the sevrum. I know my tank is over stocked, but I made it clear that I am in the process of fixing it. Today I traded my pufer and 5" pleco in for a 2" chocolate pleco :D

Does anyone how to identify the sexes on Green Severums? What type of water to breed them in?
