Have a 75g tank running a seaclone 100, AQ 50 powerhead and AQ 300 powerfilter with no media for circulation. The salt creep from the powerfilter is driving me nuts plus the noise so I want to ditch the powerfilter in exchange for a strong powerhead. Would that effect oxygen levels since there is no water movement coming from the top? I do like the fact that there is a lot of circulation on the top now but with the powerheads there wont be any much of it at the top of the tank.

the top of the water should be adjatated, putting the powerhead close to the top should help and it wont be as loud. If the water isnt moving at all on the top it might affect oxygen levels but I dont think that will happen if you put another powerhead in.

Two powerheads near the top of the tank point at each other with sufficient flow will produce plenty of surface movement.

Plus your protein skimmer with it's millions of bubbles is perfect for O2 exchange.
