So I finally got the tattoo I been wanting for about 4 years. The first one is in relation to my arm and body (size-wise)

cool Tatt .. i like tattoos .. i have 4 of them .. first was a stupid home made one .. u know they kind when u r 14 and stupid .. :huh: oh well ..lol.. then the second is of a blue jay on my arm .. then my daughters name on my chest in a ribbon with a flower.. then i got a Pegasus on my back shoulder .. but i want to get my dog Diesel ..the one that just passed away 4 months ago i want hm on the other shoulder .. but have to find someone that does awesome work .. but i will get it ..and i have one body pierceing.. wont say were.. :p: .. but wouldnt mind one or 2 more..
all of my tatts are over 20 yrs old..

Becareful, tattoos become very addicitive. I have a tribal piece that I designed that runs from the tip of my shoulder down to my elbow and it has taken all the self control that I have not to turn it into a full sleeve.

Just wait, that thing is going to itch soooo bad, just make sure you have a lot of WATER based lotion because believe me, it helps.

nice tat sublime i am a big metallica fan(mostly the old school stuff)
ive got 27 tats i just wish i would have waited because about 10 are really stupid prison tattoos:(

I been doing all the upkeep and care he told me, plus I read up exactly what to do on an official website. The total was 150 bucks and it took a little over an hour. I'll probably go back in three weeks so that he could fill in the gaps and stuff after it heals up. I have a feeling this won't be my last :o

I was thinking of getting one, but I wouldn't know what to get, I don't want to get something I'll regret having 20 ytears from now. . . you know?

I did get my nipple pierced once, (was watching a guns n roses concert on TV, and a buddy of mine and I got the itch to get it done)...

I might go for one one day though . .. We'll see. . .

In any case, congratz man, it's a nice one. . . .

overall decent work!! theres a few blank "blowouts" that need to be filled in, but can be fixed easily!! (sorry to be critical, im a tattoo artist) but congrats man!! is it your first peice??

Yeah, I noticed those spots, but he said to come back in 3 weeks if there are any spots to be filled in, free of charge. I'll take him up on that since there are a few spots I'd like darker and a few spots to be filled in. It's my first one, but probably won't be my last LOL :o

It looks good. That symbol is alright, because in 10 years when you hate Metallica... You can pass it off as just a cool looking image. All of my friends have tatoos from bands they hate now. RATM, SEPULTURA, IRON MAIDEN, MEGADETH & METALLICA... Many metalheads start off liking those kinds of bands and then "evolve" into fans of heavier stuff like MORTICIAN, DYING FETUS and such... Im more into Doom and Dark metal like MAUDLIN OF THE WELL, KATATONIA & my old favorite DISEMBOWELMENT. I'm real glad I only got lyrics from bands on me... Not the actual band names.

nice tat, subz! Congrats big time! As you've already heard from here and I'm sure from your home friends, it won't be your last. I have 4 and have trouble saying no to another one. The one thing I do wonder is what my next one will be ;) Good luck bud :D

On another note, Marn, a friend of mine got 2 tat's, 1 on each arm and each of his dogs. The artist did excellent work, good luck on your search!

Very cool. I would never have known it was a Metallica thing (The only metal I'm into is gold and platinum :D ) It looks like a really cool star.

I have a friend who always wanted a tattoo but her husband said if she ever got it she would also get a divorce. She went and got it one day, when her hubby came home she showed him the tattoo and told him it was time for that divorce. Excellent decision on her part. Her tattoo has done more for her than the ex ever did. LOL

i hope i do find a good tatto artist . Dangerdoll... i kinda wished i didnt have the pegasus were i have it . allthoug i like it ..just wished in a diff spot as i wouldnt of minded haveing both my dogs on each shoulder .. but oh well will have to figure it out .. not sure about arms .. the stupid homemade one is on one of my upper arms . :mad2: oh well those days r over ..lol. i could do them one below the other on the same side .. as there is a tatt i want to get on the side of my calf.. it is a awesome one of a gothic type woman with long flowing hair in light green flowing dress.. you would have to see it to know what im talking about ..but perfect for a leg tatt .. i have a drawing of my dog that is just awesome that my friend did 8 yrs ago when Diesel was about a yr old.. i really want to get that and woul make it easier for a tatt to be done .but the drawing of him is to a T .. there is no mistake it is Diesel she did a great job..

I just got my second tattoo! Yesterday. My husband gets his second today...I'm gonna go watch them do it...his tat is gonna be so cool. But here's mine. :)

Not sure on when I'm getting the next one Lila...I'll let this one settle in and see if I find any awesome designs. Between getting the tattoo wednesday and ordering from big als and black friday shopping, I spent over $1,000 in three days. I'll have to let that sink in before I try and buy anything else. :o

I haven't got any tats (underage and nonconsenting parents) but I have a design I like. It's of a tree with roots and all, that forms the silhouette of a skull, it's hard to explain.
I want to get one of Tolkien's dragon drawings on my wrist, also.

Well, He didn't divorce her over the tattoo...she got the tattoo when SHE was ready for the divorce and used it to drive the point home. It was a good thing for her (he was very abusive)

I have been wanting one for YEARS but could never decide what to get until recently, and now I can't find a design I like. It would be very small. I would love to have a dragonfly on my leg, just can't find one I like. I tried doing a websearch of dragonfly designs, but ended up with spyware! LOL.

I guess I should just sketch one out and make good use of all the art classes thru my life.

well good she left him .. no one deserves to be abused .. i let my X after 14yrs .. just packed up and left ..of course while he was not at the house .. cause he wanted my dog Diesel.. no way now how was he getting him..i got out of the house about a hour before he come around .. so good timeing .. and if i can leave after 14 yrs then anyone can ;)

Thanks .. hubby really liked that one .. it was unique .. and i dont think to many ppl out there have it .. it did come from a tatt magazine .. i really liked as it took many ppl to figure out what it was .. it's of a lady being hung by her hands by chains with blood dripping down her chest .. ill have to dig out the pic of the tatt i want on my leg .. it is sooo kool ..

Marn, I think the drawing of the dog is great and an excellent piece to bring in to the artist to see if it can be done. The shop I go to has a bunch of book albums of all the work that they can do. The do let you bring in your own artwork as well..... I say go for it, girl! ;)

i hate it when there is a big glare in the pic .. one trick i just learned with closer pics is use like a piece of plastic cut from a milk jug and hold it in front of the flash and it helps difusse the flash .. it tones it down and you dont get to much of a glare .. but you still get the flash..

I am going to try to get some pics of my dads inks when I get back home at some point. I've mentioned it before, but he's got two parrots on his arm that I really do like a lot. Oh...and my name:D But that's just plain text. He's also got my mom's name and my sister's name. People have said to him "Bud, you think after you got rid of the first girl you wouldn't be so dumb as to keep getting girlfriends' names on your arms!"....little do they know the other two are his daughters LOL.

thats actually not that far away!! just make sure when you guys get your work done, you do a lil research on the artist! check out their portfolio of other work theyve done, and dont always go by what is on themselves, as you can only reach so many places to do your own!! and make sure they are sterile!! if they wont use a new needle,and autoclave all tubes etc.. in front of you, go elsewhere!! it aint worth the risk! :dance2: :thm:

Sumblime where did you get yours done? I live in Chicago and I went to Jade Dragon and Im note inpressed with the way it looks now and its only a year old. There are spots where you can tell that the ink didnt hold to well.

I went to world class tattoo, on 32nd and S Harlem in Berwyn. Right by James Joyce Pub. I went to JD first but they were booked and wanted an arm and a leg for it so I just ended up going there.
