I was at Wal-Mart the other day and saw a box that said "grow your own Jurrasic creatures" or something. Does anyone know what these are? Looks kinda like the old sea monkeys scam. Could they be used as food?

I wouldn't trust much of anything from wal-mart. I would just stick to the usual food since "Jurrasic creatures" may really foul up your water.

Do a little search on this page for a thread titles "sea monkeys". There you can read in detail what these triops are.

Fairly interesting creatures....

Thanks, they do seem kinda neat, but I think I'll stick to Dwarf Gouramis.

I love triops. I hatched a bunch once, only one or two hatched, and only one remained at any rate after a week or so. When he got a little bigger I put him in my DP tank and he was so much fun to watch. Ugly little buggers but awesome. Then my GSP moved in to town for a day and I couldn't find the triop again...
