Can you keep a A.cacatuoides and a blue ram together in a 15gal tank? Or is it too small for 2 cichlids

well considering the size of the fish and there temprement you might just be able to get away with it but at the first sign of trouble get a bigger tank, but i would think they would be fine in a 15 gallon as long as the water quality and the filtration is good.

I do have another tank incase there is a problem, 10gal hospital tank. Does anyone have this combo in a smaller tank?

If you are just keeping one of each, then i dont think you will have any problems. If you want to keep males and females, if they start breeding, then i think your tank would be too small.

Apistos and rams are community fish, however, they will become territorial when breeding.

no breeding. Just keeping 1 male A.cacatuoides and a ram(don't know what sex yet, but will it really matter?)

Should be ok with one of each
