What is the white webby jelly growing in my tank? 75 G tank with mostly natural rocks (granite and limestone). The white stuff is growing mainly around two plastic rocks I added that provide little caves. No wood or plants in the tank. Only sand and rocks. Tank has ben running about two weeks now. I added some sludge to the filter yesterday that an aquarium store provided to get bacteria started. Temp is 78F.
I've read other threads that say this happens with wood, but there is no wood or plants in the tank. No fish yet. Anything to worry about? I scooped most of it out and would like to start adding a few fish soon. Will this go away on it's own when the tank is cycled and fish are present?
