I'm confussed with all my options Please Help

Hello guys, I'm wanting to start a saltwater tank. I want to do a fish-only tank. But I'm sure at some point I'll want to do a reef also. So I've got a friend that has a set-up for sale.

He's got a 150 gal (I wanted a 100 or larger so that is great)

Now as far as filters go it has
Two skimmers. (not sure what size)
A Refuium
and a Aqua-Clear (not sure what size again)
Also he recommended doing a Penulim system (a undergravel grate, then course stone, then a fiber screen matial, then sand.) to help with nitrates.

What do you guys think ? I knida like the set-up because it's almost reef ready minus lighting (it was all set-up as a reef tank.)

My only problem is where I'm going to put it. So I'm a little stuck right now. But if I don't get this one I'm going to buy one anyways'

And for my last question, if I don't go with set-up what would you guys suggest ?

I'm looking at a 92 Gal. Corner tank.
I know I have a space for that.

What your friend is selling sounds good. You say it has everything?

Well I guess not everything, I need a pump for the aquaclear. And I have to buy live rock and sand. But I think everything else is there, it has lights just not the ones for reef.

Sounds pretty good. You didn't mention a heater, is there one?

What fish are you planning on getting? If you plan on doing a reef, don't use certain medications in the tank, such as copper.

You should plan on getting a hospital/quarantine tank, it could potentially save the lives of your fish and 100s of $, plus you can put copper, etc. in it.

I wouldn't go with the plenium system personally. I believe they are nitrate factories. At least thats what I've read from many sources...

Well I priced out what my bud's selling, and he's giving me a great deal. I think I'm going to go with that set up. So now I'm to my next few questions. I'd like to get a little more in depth about the plenium system and the pros and cons of that. Also my girl likes the smaller fish as do I. (Clowns, and the some of the smaller colorful fish) We have a cicild tank now so we want some color, our tank now is dull. How many do you think we'll be able to get into this 150 tall (48x24x30) Thanks for the advice.
