how old or long tell the female's start showing there orange??? i have one that is about 2 ta 3 inches and is not showing any orange then 3 others that are from one inch to 2 inches how big do they have to be befor i should be able to tell them apart?

re

I would think you would be seeing their orange by now. Some females have less orange then others. THats the problum. Are they new to their tank? If stressed there will be less color. Look for the dorsel fin to come to a longer point on the males as well. I would guess you would have at least one female out of three but who knows.
If they are new to the tank give them some time to get used to their new home.

they should start getting there colors at under an inch. some good looking females can have the best dorsal and the only thing that can convince you thast they aren't male is the copper stomach. But my 4" female brred breeder only shows 3-4 scale of pale red and that is only when she wants to breed. A 1" female pink I saw at the lfs, was almost completely red exept for a portion of its head

When my pink female was about an inch she was all orange except her head. I would think the bigger ones would be showing orange, but it may not be as obvious in some of the fish.

well the three smaller ones that i have all look the same and i can not see any red do they only show that when they are wantin to breed or all the time?

They will show all the time. If they are healthy it should be quite obvious. If they are sick or stressed, you may need to look harder, but will stilll see it.

looking at the first picture(female) there is the orange evident, also look at the top fin, how it does not extend to the tip of the tail. Looking at picture #2(male) you can see there is no orange, and the top fin is almost as long as the tail fin. And these are not high quality images.
