Sometimes when Cichlids breed and the eggs or fry die, they will fight each other. I have also noticed that they might start fighting if you remove the fry too early (too early by their standards :p ).

When breeding aggressive fish, it would be a good idea to keep a separator around. Separate them for about a week or so, and they should be back to normal.

ok I will try that thanks a lot. oh by the way how do u put all my the about my fish tanks and stuff under the line. U know what I mean?

Managuay, it's called your signature. Look up top there, click on "User CP" and then click on "Edit Signature" and add what you want.

Just put in the basics, the system will limit the amount of info you have in your signature.

You might also look at going into the "Members Aquarium Specs" thread and put ALL your info in there and then post a link to it in your signature.

:)

I got it!!!! :joke: finally

if you did abit of research on the labiatus/citrinellus complex, you know that these fish are extremely argumentative and most hobbyists find the need for a tank divider to keep the male and female separated ... sometimes even 'during' spawning.

but this is your favorite part of keeping fish isn't it? the fighting?

I'm done and peace.
