I have just recently gotten back into the hobby and black veiled angels are my show stoppers. Backwater scenery - stump, grasses, slate, rocks, etc.

I picked up six as babies and they all have been growing and happy.

Last night I happened to look in on them in the middle of the night and they were all spread out on the bottom. Some flat down on the gravel and a couple propped upside down against some rocks :thud:

Before I could turn on the lights they woke up and are fine, but they scared the **** outta me!!! I have never noticed this before outside of bottom dwellers.

I do have a lot of circulation in the tank. Maybe the others can hover and sleep but the angels have too much drag???

Anybodys Angels crash out like this?

well, to me that is very odd....mine seem to be in suspended animation at night..fins all erect and floating midwater. any other strange behavior? can you turn down you current for a trial run to see if they still do this?

Yes, I plan on turning it down a bit to see. No other odd behavior. They are very active and hungry all the time.

They are my favorites.

Thank you. I found it very odd also... Dave
