after originally not wanting live plants in the tank I'm REALLY liking them in there. Certainly makes the tank look better and it's as much fun as the fish to care for.
I was reading that adding substrate (such as flourite clay) can help them root and grow better. Problem is my tank is already setup. Full of fish, gravel, and water. Is it possible to put it in at this point or am I too late?
I thought about maybe putting it in a cup then lowering the cup to the bottom before dumping it out. Just move the gravel out of the way and replace the gravel afterwards. The plants haven't been in the tank long enough to take root so if I do it I'd like to do it soon.
Anywho is it possible after the tank is full of water and setup already?
