I have two GSP's I've had more than a year. They aren't very large, no more than 2 inches long. I read elsewhere on this forum that they need to go full SW when they mature. Is there any way to tell when that is? My two are rather lethargic most of the time and their color is not all that good.

Well, I've done my fair share of research. I can say that GSPs grow up to 6'' in adulthood. Their lifespan can be 10+ years if properly taken care of! Do you have your GSPs in brackish water right now? GSPs should be kept in brackish water until they reach adulthood. Hopefully someone else will chime in soon!

Yes, they are in a 125g brackish tank right now. Along with two silvertip sharks (6-8"); a bullrout; a few damselfish I am experimenting with;along with some guppies and ghost shrimp as feeders for the larger predators.

Thanks for the link. My problem is probably water quality. I recently moved and have not had the time to pay attention to the tank. Algae is building up! Water changes have been a low priority as well. I'd better get on it!
