I talked with my LFS and after a lenthy conversation that went nowhere I'm in need of help. Do you think this is a fesable plan?

I'm planning to purchase things in cycles to set up a SW tank right this time. I had a fish kill with my last setup and am a little worried it will happen again!

I'll be investing in PC lights made by JBJ

this is what I've gotten from the seller!

Item: 48" JBJ POWER COMPACT AQUARIUM LIGHTING SYSTEM (7728155268)

Hi jason,
This light system would to perfect for your reef aquarium. You would get 4.73 watts per gallon. The rule is 3-5 watts per gallon. You can have LPS corals, softly, mushrooms, ect. Only SPS coral I would stay away from. They need to have more lights. The leg stands are $19.99. If you buy the light and leg stands, I will take off the shipping cost for the leg stands only.
Thanks, Reefking

Is he right? Quality light?

As for substrate I'll be going with oldcastle at about 3-4" then with about 10% Live sand

The live rock is another issue. I'd like to experiment with concrete creations and am tinkering with the mix now. how much trouble is this concept?

then to seed with live fiji rock and a kiddie pool..

Thanks for the input in advance
jason
