View Full Version : Fire Eel with Cichlids
I have a 90 gal tank with cichlids and 1 fire eel. The eel has 3 large white patches on its body. Probably got bit or something by cichlids. Any suggestions on medication or diagnoses on problem? :help:

Yes, use Melaix and Pimafix together. It should clear it up in no time! Great stuff! Keep an eye on your cichlid friends. Maybe the eel just injured himself or maybe he has a disease where he scratches himself on things.

if you have a quarrantine tank i suggest poutting him in there and using the melafix becauseyou will need less for a smaller tank and also you can view him without worrying about getting picked on.

I found out that eels need sand! They try to play in the gravel and in turn hurt themselves! Maybe that is the problem.
