so they appear to be exhibiting spawning behavior...

question is, how long until we should expect to see some eggs?

and then, how long until they hatch?

I used to have Convicts years ago, who seemed to show similar behavior...but I can't remember how long it took...

the time depends on the female but they should normally hatch within 2-4 days and probably free swimming about 1-2 weeks after hatch.

just curoius how big are they and got any pics?

they are about 2-3" long.

Do you know how long from the mating dance until they lay eggs? They started dancing late last night!

Still eating like pigs!

Do you have any idea which gender would be more brightly colored? Both have gotten VERY dark since they started mating. Very nice looking!
