cyanide poisoning

Anyone know what the symptoms of cyanide poisoning are in a fish?
I bought a lemonpeel angelfish and it is doing very well so far. I have had it for about a week or so and it is eating and is very active. I'm just concerned because I have heard that marine angels are often caught using cyanide and I don't want to lose this fish. Thanks for replying.

the only side effect is loss of eating. they starve on a full stomach>

Overly bright fish is a give away. Hanging out in the corner and spitting food back out into the water column. The fish’s instincts are to go for food but the cyanide ruins gut content to the point of no return. Also fast pace breathing. These signs besides the overly colorful can also indicate disease. It really depends on what region your fish is from. The practice has been illegal for some time, but this doesn’t stop some divers from doing it. Fish from Indo-pacific are cheaper in price because of this.

I believe fish from Fiji are most or all of the time net caught. :D
