so i just put plants in to my fish tank and did some redecorating.

ever since then (its been a week) my fish has not been eating like he used to. like maybe 2-3 pellets a day vs the almost 7 he had been. my water is fine (pH is 6.3 (ok i know that is low but its being very slowly raised with dolomite and is higher than it was) ammonia 0 and nitrites are 0)

that being said. he is acting totally normal and has no spots or anything.
do you think it is just the redecorating that stressed him out? i did change his "territory" around . or am i just missing something entirely?

thank you all so much

what kind of fish is it? is it possible that its nibbling on the plants?

on first glance, it sounds like a non-problem, but its kinda hard to draw any conclusions. maybe skip a day's feeding and see how it reacts....

hes a jack dempsey. maybe i will just skip feeding him today and see. he is a really skittish fish so i just feel like maybe he isnt used to his new surroundings yet. thank you.

thanks, i hope that is the problem. though as i am typing this he found a pellet and ate it. i was all excited until he spit it back out...
