I had somebody poor some kind of drink and some massage oil in my tank at a party last night. I did a 50% water change when I woke up and found it murky and now it's even more foggy. What should I do?

It's a freshwater 30 gal with some angelfish and gouramis

I've been putting some 'stabilizer' in with each water change today - should i continue?
It's seeming like the tank's getting foggier and foggier with each water change..?

Find the dork that did it and make him/her pay for any damage he has done, monatary I mean...unless you want to take it out of him/her with a little beating!! WHat a jerk someone would have to be to do that to your little fishies. :rant2:

Yeah, he's already agreed to pay for any damages.
He even said "****, I hope they aren't some $2000 fish."
I'm not mad, he was just drunk..

Continue to do large frequent water changes. Be sure and moniter the levels of ammonia and nitrite as well, because the addition of whatever it was that ended up in your tank may have negatively affected your biological filter.

If it was straight alcohol, that wouldn't be a big deal, it will evaporate out quickly. If it was mixed with juice or soda, that will probably just get broken down by the filter, that might be whats clouding the water. I'd be more worried about the oil, but if you can use a towel to get that stuff off I think it would be ok. But yeah, just keep a close eye on everything to make sure you don't get a spike. Hopefully the fish don't start swimming into rocks and walls and each other :D

I'd be finding new friends. Who wants someone around so drunk they pour stuff in your fish tank? Good luck.

I just did another 60% change. This is so tedious with a 10L bucket...
After interrogating everybody that was at the party, it sounds like it was only a little splash of vodka/cranberry juice and a little more massage oil. Hey, at least my tank smells pretty!
One of my smaller gourami's is sick because of this. All the other gourami's are being very aggressive with him. 'kissing' him, biting at his fins, chasing him around the tank, etc.
It looks like it's getting a little bit better. Unfortunately the only testing supplies that I have are the little strips.
