i bought my 2nd bamboo shrimp yesterday at Petco for 5 bucks!! :laugh:
this one is a bit bigger than Mr. Shrimpy, and coloring is diffrent too. while mr.shrimpy has a white line down his back and has reddish thin stripes(horizontal) along his body, this one is kind of spotted(?). kind of woody color. anyway, my q is that when i was gazing lovingly at my 10 gal aquarium where my shrimp and their neighbors, 2 fantail and a comet lives, the new shrimp(hadn't quite named it yet;
was hanging upside down from a rock and white,transparenty things were sticking out of its body-WTF!!!!!!

and the shrimp was almost caressing it, and when goldie (RED fantail) touched it, the thing went inside its belly, and later, it happened again!! i've never witnessed a molt since my shrimp has a tendency to do it either in the dead of night or very early, could it be some sort of a outer shell? or what could it be?!?!?!!!
*edit* today, i also saw the slightly bigger,fatter, newer one stepping on poor mr. shrimpy and kind of fighting. uh... what's up with the behavior???
