Upstairs aquarium

I currently have a 46 gallon aquarium in my room, which is on the second floor of our house. I'm looking into a larger one but I am curious how large I can go and still keep it in my room. Our house is old meaning it has real 2x12's. The tank would be running perpindicular to them and against a wall. Would a 75, 90, 100 be ok? I'm curious about your opinions.
