Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, etc...

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon wins best pic? But doesn't win best foreign pic?!?
Janet Jackson, Metallica and The Stray Cats in the same catagory???
One JJ song nominated in three catagories ( R&B, Pop/Rock and Dance)??
Titanic wins best pic, but no noms. in any acting catagory? How can you have a great movie without great acting?
 
Award shows suck! I can't stand the music ones, because crappy artists that have sex appeal always win. Not that I hate sex appeal :D but they CAN'T SING!

P.S. Uncabret, that sentence under your name, is that a reference to Green Jelly, or is it a coincidence?
 
It is all a great big high school-- I mean acting comunity popularity party. Does it mean anything to me? Why should it, I didn't get asked to go.... :rolleyes:

As to a film getting best picture without any actors in it getting best performance nominations, aside from the above reason, it is sometimes true that the sum is greater than any of the parts.

Ummmm,....yes, no, I don't know! What's Green Jelly?

Actually, it's more a reference to the fact that I love to experiment when I cook. And it's supposed to be a GOOD question.

For those who don't know, Green Jelly is the greatest band ever, and they definately should've won some awards back in the day :D

I totally thoght the same thing about that signature!! I got 333 in the tape deck in my firebird right now!! I like "jump" and "anthem" There not as heavy as most of the other songs but show they have musical talent despite thier silly lyrics.

"Ive got poo poo on my shoe, IVE GOT POO POO ON MY SHOE!!!!!"
