Hi guys, after a 5 day treatment with Pimafix on my clown which I thought had a fungal infection I am now starting to think that I'm messing with Lymphocystis. PimaFix did absolutely nothing and the white cottony growth is still getting bigger... The fish feeds fine, behaves normally and seems top shape so again I think it's lymphocystis.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of this? Most websites say that it will eventually go away on it's own but I'm a bit worried because MY SECOND clown has just started to get a small white growth as well... My poor little clowns...

Help me please!

Lymphocystis has wart cotton like appearance? It doesn’t cause high mortality, only if the viral disease is present on the gills or on the mouth. Feed foods soaked in Selcon. Make sure water quality is tip top because your clown has a good chance to succumb to secondary bacterial or fungal infection. Use ro/di water with a low TDS reading and carbon. There is no cure because it is viral. It will take about four weeks for the fish to fight it off. It is contagious and will make the rounds like the flu. Do you have a picture so I can make sure this is what your clowns have?
